1950 – Warm River, Idaho
The First Cazier reunion was held on Father’s Day, June 17, 18, 1950 at Warm River, Idaho. There was plenty to eat and a program was presented with Elmo Cazier acting as Master of Ceremonies. The theme of this first reunion was “Memories”, delightfully brought back, by songs and talks on the history of the family. The program centered around Benjamin Cazier Jr. who was seated in a nearby rocker during the entire program. He passed away the following September at the age of 92. This first reunion was the last time “Joe and Ben” as they were lovingly called, were together in the capacity. The first reunion was organized by Charlotte Cazier Wickham, a daughter of Benjamin Cazier and assisted by several members of the family. There were about 175 in attendance.
