2013 – Nephi, Utah
63rd Annual William Cazier Family Reunion
June 28, 2013 through June 29, 2013
This year’s Cazier Family Reunion promises to be the one to remember! We will have something for ALL ages including games for the youth, not to mention GREAT FOOD! We need you to help make these moments lasting memories, so please make every effort to attend!
This year, Larry Galli is our host and has “roped in his family” to create this jam-packed event as follows:
On Friday evening at 6:00 PM a yummy BBQ dinner will be served at the Nephi City Park located on Main Street. (Don’t forget to bring your youth early for games, swimming and basketball directed by Derek and Randi Galli and Brandon and Austin Kern.
Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, we will meet at Nephi Park and you’ll have 2 choices:
A. Tour Cazier old home and farm sites led by Marsden Cazier. (Marsden grew up in Nephi and is a real genuine “Old-timer”)
B. Tour the Nephi City Cemetery and view many of our courageous ancestors including William Cazier perhaps for the last time. This tour will be led by Dee Cazier.
At 1:00 PM there will be an executive meeting for our current officers and past presidents in the North Nephi Stake Center Relief Society Room.
At 2:00 PM in the North Nephi Stake Relief Society Room we will have our annual Genealogy meeting directed by Gail Cazier, our Family Genealogist. All CAZIERS SHOULD ATTEND THIS MEETING!!! Gail will share with us what has been happening in our family research for those now departed. He will also emphasize the following message from Pres. Spencer W. Kimball:
“I promise you that is you will keep your records and journals, each one of us is important to those who are near and dear to us and as our posterity read of our life’s experiences they too will come to know and love us! And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities we will already be acquainted.”
Also during this meeting we will hear from our Assistant Family Genealogist, Carol Reynolds. She will share with us how she has traced our ancestors from France to the Isles of Matinique and then back to Europe. She will also discuss our ancestors as they travel to America in search of religious freedom, then across the interior of America and finally to Nephi and beyond. She will also pleasure us with the colorful story of Reverend Matthias Cazier and many others.
Last by not least, our Saturday Evening Finale–Memorable times to be had by ALL. We will begin at 6:00 PM in the North Nephi Stake Center where we will enjoy a marvelous catered dinner ($10 per adult, $4 per child 10 and under) and the ever-so-popular talent show presented by our our family members, MC’d by Maran Matich. Please be sure and invite all your family members to this reunion — Memories last forever!
