1973 – Park City, Utah

The Twenty Fourth annual Cazier reunion was held July 13-15, 1973 in Park City, Utah with President Stephen A. (AI) Cazier presiding. The first annual Cazier Golf Tournament was held under the direction of AI Cazier. A special welcome was extended to the Eastern States Cazier who had traveled long distances to attend. Two hundred additional copies of the book “The Life History of William Cazier” by Martha Cazier Eagar were printed. Information is being gathered by Fern Rutledge on the proposed new Cazier book which would be sold for $20 to $25. Edwin Cazier was appointed Vice President for 1975. Delbert Palmer was released and Byron Cazier Palmer was sustained as secretary/treasurer. Fern Rutledge conducted the genealogical session and announced her intention to attend the reunion in Illinois of the descendants of James (Williams first son) and wife Juliete Cazier. She gave a summary of how Casia County in Idaho got its name and presented a newspaper article on it. Wayne and Linda Ragland were given a hardy thanks for the warm hospitality shown during this reunion. There were about 140 in attendance.
